The Marin Community Foundation (MCF) has named Safia Kryger-Nelson as Senior Philanthropic Planner.
Kryger-Nelson comes to MCF after a five-year stint as Regional Director, Business Development, at ImpactAssets, a nonprofit financial services firm that increases the flow of capital into investments that deliver financial, social and environmental returns. She was responsible for business development for the western U.S. region.
Prior to that, she worked in Global Institutional Sales and Marketing at Dresdner RCM Global Investors and as a legal translator for the European Court of Justice.
Kryger-Nelson has a Bachelor of Arts, Law Degree from the University of Copenhagen, and a Masters in European and International Law from the University of Paris. She also speaks seven languages.

She commenced at the Foundation on February 1.
